Al-Aqsa Storm: Over 200 Israelis are killed by a Hamas attack, while 232 Palestinians are killed by airstrikes from Tel Aviv.

In one of the most dangerous escalations in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in recent years, the Palestinian organization Hamas launched an unexpected invasion from Gaza into Israel.

Hamas started “Operation Al-Aqsa Storm” by launching over 5,000 rockets towards southern Israel, inflicting at least 40 Israeli fatalities and hundreds of injuries, according to Al Jazeera. It was then followed by a significant armed infiltration of freedom activists into the tyrannical Jewish state.

Israelis are in “tremendous shock” after the unheard- assault proposed by the Hamas.

The magnitude of the attack was indicated by the police commander of Israel’s, declaring that there had been “21 active incidents” in southern Israel.

As “Operation Al-Aqsa Storm” continues, the number of Israeli fatalities has increased to 200, while Israel’s retaliatory airstrikes have resulted in at least 232 Palestinian martyrdoms and 1,610 injuries in the Gaza Strip.

Reynolds claimed that he had a text conversation with a friend in Tel Aviv. According to her, she was rushing to enter a bomb shelter. It has never occurred earlier when multiple communities, including some towns, have been attacked and taken captive. He also said that Hamas had to prepare and strategize extensively to get this off the ground.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, declared war on Palestine shortly after the major surprise strike, claiming Hamas had made a “grave mistake.”

According to Israeli Defense Minister Gallant, “Hamas launched a war against the State of Israel.” He said that Israeli “troops are engaged in combat against the enemy everywhere.”

In a broadcast on Hamas media, Mohammad Deif, the military chief of Hamas, called for Palestinians all over the world to battle and proclaimed the beginning of the operation.

He said, “This is the start of the greatest battle to end the last occupation on earth,” noting the launch of 5,000 missiles.

In Gaza, many people hurried to acquire supplies because they expected days of fighting. Many people left their houses and went to shelters.

The most recent significant conflict between Israel and Hamas lasted for 10 days in 2021.

What is Hamas?

The Islamic Resistance Movement, also known as Hamas, was established in 1987, at the uprising of the first Palestinian Intifada. It shares the Islamic ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood, which originated in Egypt in the 1920s.

Since it represents the common fight for self-determination and resistance against occupation, its founding during the Intifada highlights a crucial period in Palestinian history. The goal of the group has changed over time in response to the many issues the Palestinian people confront. The organization was founded in reaction to the convoluted political environment of the time.

Although Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood have similar ideologies, Hamas has created a distinctive character and adopted tactics specific to the Palestinian situation. It has grown to be a significant force in Palestinian politics and continues to influence the development of the situation there. The history of Hamas, which sprang from the embers of resistance, is still entwined with the fight for justice and the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Since 2007, it has been in charge of the Gaza Strip, which has been characterized by a brief but bloody civil war with Fatah supporters. Different political allegiances provoked this power struggle, which positioned Hamas against the Fatah organization, which is led by President Mahmoud Abbas. With his primary residence in the West Bank, President Abbas also serves as the PLO’s (Palestine Liberation Organization) leader. The Palestinian territories and their governing dynamics have been significantly impacted by this intricate and bitter fight for regional dominance.

Hamas is a member of a regional coalition that also includes Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah in Lebanon. This coalition largely opposes US Middle East policy as well as Israeli policy.

Despite having its headquarters in Gaza, it has sympathizers throughout the Palestinian Territories and leaders in other Middle Eastern nations, including Qatar.
