Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center (JPMC) performed it’s maiden robotic surgery in it’s history. The surgery was performed on Wednesday. JPMC is Karachi’s famous and biggest medical center, where thousands of people visit every day in search of quality care and management.

Under the direction of Executive Director of JPMC, Prof Dr. Shahid Rasool, the team which introduced the procedure was lead by Dr. Saddam and Dr. Mansab. According to the spokesperson, they were successful in completing the procedure merely in 25 minutes.

The spokesperson, Jahangir Durrani, claimed that a cutting-edge gallstone operation, using the most recent robotic technology has been carried out on a 34-year-old patient. It is considered to be a less painful procedure and an alternative for lower-abdomen operations.

The patient’s quick recovery underlines the value of this novel strategy, he added.

This type of surgery was underwent by a government hospital earlier in Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute (PKLI), Lahore.
